Clwydian graveyard in winter evening

 

The day was heavy with rain and storms,

I had stood by many a forgotten grave.

Weathered stones and crosses, faded wreaths,

the names overgrown, scarcely to be read.

From a song by Brahms, from a poem by Liliencron - "Auf dem Kirchhofe"

What is it about old cemeteries? I can't resist them either. I like the way the stones seem to wave in this shot. Also, this is perfect for black and white.

I wanted to tell you, too, that I enjoyed reading about your crow a few weeks ago.
