Lough Corrib, Western Ireland
I have been visiting Lough Corrib for many years now; it's a special place for me. The clouds and weather change from moment to moment. Out on a boat you can experience gibbering torrential cold rain and a "down to your undies" heat-wave all in the same day.
Being in a small boat open to the elements for many days at a time brings you to yourself - the next cup of tea; the horizon; how cold your feet are; that next chocolate bar; random thoughts; the sound of a dog barking two miles away; good company; the last trout missed.
